2NE1's Dara interview on PH's 'Matanglawin'



2NE1's Dara was interviewed by Jessy Mendiola, the honorary ambassador for Korean Tourism, on ABS-CBN's Sunday educational show, 'Matanglawin.'

On the interview, Dara expressed how she misses her Filipino friends and she would love o visit the country again. Jessy asked her on how she became a KPop star. Dara answered, "In Korea we should be trainees first before we become KPop artists. We're doing lots of things like singing, acting, hosting shows, dancing at the same time."

Jessy followed her question with, "How did your life change when you became a member of 2NE1?" Dara replied, "I'm thinking that there's nothing much changed. Maybe, it's my name only that changed from Sandara to Dara of 2NE1. That's all. All are same." Dara asked, "Is there something that changed? Jessy answered, "The color of your hair, but you're still the national krung krung of the Philippines.You're still the sweet Sandara that the Filipinos know" Dara agreed.

Jessy threw another question, "What do you feel that 2NE1 is very famous in Korea and the Philippines?" Dara answered, "Of course I'm very happy that there are lots who are supporting us thus I really want to go to the Philippines to have a show." 

Jessy asked Dara on what she misses on the Philippines, and Dara said that she misses the people and acting.

When asked on her PH celebrity crush, Dara revealed that it is John Lloyd Cruz. John Lloyd also revealed about his encounter with Dara. He said, "...I remember when you use straw for tequila."

Dara's message to 2NE1's Filipino fans, "First of all, thank you very much for your support to us. It means so much to us and I really do miss you so much so you should invite us. And if we go there, make sure to see us ah. Promise."
