On the August 28 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s variety program “Happy Together,” Girls’ Generation member Sunny revealed her frustration about how her growth plates closed at an early age during her school days.
During the show, Sunny shared a story about how she was growing taller during her school days, which made her happy. She went on to explain, “But one day, I injured my knee. So I went to the hospital where I was told that there was a little inflammation, and I would just need to take some medicine. However, the doctor suddenly said, ‘But it looks like your growth plates are closed?’ For a young girl [to hear that], it was like a bolt from out of the blue.”
Besides Sunny, this particular episode of “Happy Together” also featured kickboxer and MMA fighter Choi Hong Man, volleyball coach Kim Se Jin, announcer Do Kyung Wan, former pro-gamer Hong Jin Ho, and comedian Hwang Hyun Hee, who gathered as guests for the ‘Tall vs. Short’ special.
