'Roaring Currents' sets a new record by surpassing 10 million views at the box office
"Roaring Currents" has beaten "Avatar" and become the fastest movie to reach the 10 million mark in just 12 days.
According to Korean Film Council on August 10th, as of 8am kst today, "Roaring Currents" has officially surpassed 10 million views by attracting 471,956 people and continues to rank 1st at the box office with a total of 10,226,042 viewers.
"Roaring Currents" was premiered on July 30th and ever since the release, it has continuously broken records as the movie with the shortest time to reach every remarkable mark from 1 million to 10 million views until now. And since the number is still increasing each day, reaching 14 million views and beating "Avatar" to become the movie with the highest viewership is not out of hand. For more information, "Avatar" is currently holding the record with a total of 13,624,328 views.
