Kcon 2014 in L.A. – Day 1 Concert

Kcon showed us once again why it is the event of the year for Kpop lovers in the USA. Hosting a 2 day convention with workshops and classes, plus 2 nights of fabulous concerts, Kcon hosted one of the most memorable events in Kpop history.

The first concert was held on August 9th at the LA Sports Arena to a packed house. It was a star-studded event, boasting both rookie and veterans artists.

VIXX opened the concert and gave a strong performance to deafening cheers. They looked handsome in red and black outfits. Their fans were thrilled to see them onstage in the USA.

IU made her LA stage debut and charmed the crowd with her catchy music and adorable personality. She looked beautiful in a short, lace dress and her trademark red heels.

A happy B1A4 then came out onstage. They gave a fun, energetic performance and looked cute in school-boy inspired outfits. They spread out across the stage and really interacted with the crowd and enjoyed performing.

TEENTOP showed why they are one of the up and coming groups in Kpop. They delivered a super powerful performance and showed off their sexy dance moves in handsome blue and black coordinated outfits.

Finally, the moment came for which everyone had been waiting. The lights went out and strong music begin to play. Rising from the middle of the stage, the one and only GDragon appeared as the final act of the evening. Singing songs like One of a Kind, Crooked, Michi Go and Crayon, he showed everyone why he is the undeniable king of modern Kpop music. The cheers were deafening as this true artist performed.

Each group or artist performed several songs each during the evening, then reunited onstage at the end of the night to take their final bows. White confetti floated from the sky as they thanked everyone and waved to the fans.

The concert was recorded as part of Mnet and will be aired around the world.
