Girl's Generation sets another record in Japan


On July 23rd, Girls' Generation released "The best", a compilation album containing 18 hit songs, including "Genie", "Gee", "Mr. Taxi", Japanese version of "Mr Mr", brand new ballad “Indestructible” ..., and it debuted at #1 on both Oricon Daily Album Chart and Weekly Chart.

It is the third time Girl's Generation has topped the Japanese chart following "Girls' Generation" in 2011 and "Love & Peace" in 2013. With this result, Girls' Generation became the only Asian girl group that made three consecutive #1 debuts on Oricon Chart.

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation's new album advertisement will be posted on billboards at Ginza, Shinjuku, Ikebukuor, O-otemachi, Akihabara, Rotbbongi, Ebis, and Yurakcho areas of Tokyo until August 3rd.
