[Updated w/Media Reports on Tyler Kwon's Involvement] Jessica Not Present at Airport With the Rest of the Girls’ Generation Members Following Weibo Message

In the midst of debates about whether Girls’ Generation’s Jessica actually posted the shocking message left on her Weibo account, or if she had been hacked, it has been reported that only eight of the group members showed up to the Incheon International Airport.

It is being said that Jessica was not present at the airport on September 30 with the rest of her members who were departing for China to attend the “2014 Girls’ Generation First Fan Party – Mr.Mr in Shenzhen.”

It has also been reported that the eight members who appeared at the airport remained silent as reporters poured out questions about the current situation.

Many are beginning to speculate that Jessica’s recent message on Weibo with regards to her leaving the group is less likely due to a hack following these reports of her absence at the airport.

Meanwhile, this fan party is the very first official stage since their debut, through which Girls’ Generation will be meeting with their fans in China. Fans have been expressing their excitement for this event, making Jessica’s sudden announcement even more shocking.

SM Entertainment has yet to release an official statement about the matter, so nothing has been confirmed as of now. Stay tuned for updates on the situation.

Update:

With SM Entertainment’s continued silence, more and more reports are popping up that are trying to fill the blanks to this story. Various sources are reporting that Jessica was recently spotted in New York with Tyler Kwon, whom SM has denied is dating Jessica. Local news source Dispatch even has photos of Jessica and Tyler Kwon returning to Korea via Incheon Airport on September 29. Although they exited the arrival gate separately, Dispatch claims the two took the same flight. An acquaintance of Jessica told Dispatch that the singer is preparing her business in New York, as well as looking into schools. She is considering marriage, but it is not definite.

Dispatch also claims that Jessica is currently preparing to be a designer and wants to enter a design school in the US. But since she doesn’t have SAT scores, she is working on her portfolio which requires her to focus on her fashion brand, BLANC, that she recently launched. According to Dispatch, Tyler Kwon has invested a lot into the brand, as well as worked on getting other investors.

Various reports are also speculating that there might be some tension between the other eight members of Girls’ Generation and Jessica. Apparently, the other members and SM want Jessica to focus on the group and its activities, while Jessica is trying to juggle all: her business, her ambition to be a designer, her romantic relationship, and Girls’ Generation.

Local media source Sports Seoul also reports that Jessica met up with lawyer Im Sang Hyuk, who helped JYJ with their lawsuit against SM Entertainment, earlier this month. A source had told Sports Seoul that Jessica had personally come to his law office. However, upon calling Im Sang Hyuk for confirmation, Sports Seoul was told by the lawyer himself that he has not met Jessica.
