Dia Tree is a ballad quartet who originally debuted as a duo named Full Time. After years of member and name changes, we have Kim Tae Wan, Lim Jae Yong, Boo Chan Shik, and Goo Byung Jin who make up Dia Tree. Their management, K Story, is home to artists such as LPG, Lee Seung Hwan, Youme, 5tion, Yoon Gun, and The One.
It was not until the beginning of this year that Dia Tree received a well deserved break. For unknown or unpopular artists, it is more difficult for them to land a spot on music shows, which with no promotions can possibly lead to member and name changes (like them) or even disbandment. However, after nine long years, leader Kim Tae Wan finally had the chance to perform on stage. The group was able to showcase their then title track “Please Find Her” on MBC’s Music Core throughout the first two months of the year. Although the promotion for the track was not long, the group is still actively releasing new music. Their most recent single, “That Man That Woman,” features 8eight’s Joo Hee. The emotional and heart-wrenching song was written, composed, and produced by the members themselves. Now not just vocalists, the singer-songwriters are taking one step forward into making a name for them in the music industry.
Dia Tree recently wrapped up recording for MBC Music Gayo Shidae which means fans of the group will get to see more live performances and hopefully more in the near future.
