“Big Man” Starring Kang Ji Hwan Raises Expectations with Hero Movie Parodies

KBS2TV’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Big Man” is off to a promising start even before airing the first episode.

A series of posters featuring the stars of “Big Man” have become a hot topic on various discussion boards. The posters are actually parodies of well-known films centered around charismatic and honest heroes, and Kang Ji Hwan can be seen posing as the main hero of each movie with the remaining cast in supporting roles. While the actor has been attached to the bodies of Superman, Spiderman, Ironman, and Batman, the posters all promote “Big Man” with witty titles.

Fans have been impressed by the high quality of the parody posters, but also the hilarious catchlines have caught their attention. Some of the titles include, “Amazing Big Man, the war starts now,” “The most charming hero of the 21st century,” and “Family vs. Heart, The terminator of the Gotham City-inspired war of the Monday-Tuesday dramas.”

“Big Man” depicts the story of Kang Ji Hyuk (Kang Ji Hwan), who suddenly finds out that he is the heir of a large family business. In order to protect his loved ones, he plans on taking revenge against the sneaky opposition in the company and become a strong leader.

The drama will premiere on April 28.
