Starting Monday, April 28, all of the three main Korean broadcast networks, SBS, KBS, and MBC, will resume airing variety shows in addition to their various drama series.
Following the Sewol ferry accident that occurred on April 16, all variety shows and drama broadcasts had been put on hiatus while the nation mourned. Drama airings had slowly resumed to normal over the past few days, but variety shows were still on hold until now with KBS, SBS, and MBC releasing program schedules that show that almost all programming is back to normal for the rest of the week.
Specifically for Monday, April 28, KBS will air the first episode of its Monday-Tuesday drama, ”Big Man,” followed by its popular weekly variety show ”Hello Counselor.” MBC will broadcast its Monday-Tuesday drama, “Empress Ki,” and an episode of its regular documentary series, “Documentary Special.“
As for SBS, instead of the first episode of “Doctor Stranger,” there will be a special episode of “God’s Gift- 14 Days.” The premiere of “Doctor Stranger” has been postponed due to the high possibility for the drama airing to be cancelled the following day on April 29 for the live broadcast of the “2014 Professional Baseball” program. Following the special episode of “God’s Gift- 14 Days,” SBS will air its weekly Monday talk show, “Healing Camp.”
